Die Beurteilungen in den Tabellen beruhen sowohl auf den Ergebnissen von Tests in Labors wie auf praktischen Tests am Einsatzort. Sie geben die relative Beständigkeit der unterschiedlichen Norton Schläuche gegenüber Chemikalien an. Bestimmte Korrosionsmittel, die die Schläuche bei einem längeren Kontakt beschädigen würden, können über kurze Zeiträume durch die Schläuche geleitet werden, wenn diese anschließend mit Wasser gespült werden. Alle Beurteilungen gehen vom Einsatz bei Zimmertemperatur (21°C; 73°F) aus. Höhere Temperaturen beeinträchtigen die chemische Beständigkeit.
WICHTIG: Der Anwender ist verpflichtet, sicherzustellen, dass sich die Norton Schläuche für den gewünschten Einsatz eignen und hierfür sicher sind. Tests im Labor, vor Ort und klinische Tests müssen entsprechend den geltenden Vorschriften durchgeführt werden, um die Sicherheit und Wirksamkeit der Verwendung der Schläuche für die jeweiligen Anwendungen nachzuweisen.
